FIVE SISTERS OF COMPASSION INJURED IN CAPSIZE OF TRUCK

(P.A.) WANGANUI, May 5. Five Sisters of Compassion of the Island Bay Home, Wellington, were injured when a light van in which they were travelling capsized and rolled down a 40ft. bank about 12 miles south of Wanganui on the main highway. Three of them suffered shock , and minor injuries, while the other' two each sustained a broken collarbone and shock. One of the sisters was driving the truck, which belongs to the home. The sisters, who were taken to the Home of Compassion in Wanganui, are returning to Wellington today. The truck was travelling toward Wanganui, and was going down a hill when it skidded into the water-table on the left of the road. It ran along the water-table for about 25yds., then hit a bank and capsized. It rolled down a bank on the right of the road until it was stopped by a fence. In its slide down the bank the van turned over three times.
