(Special) WAIROA, June 5. A surprise result in the Wairoa Rugby competitions on Saturday was the defeat of the junior grade leaders, Tapuae, by Celtic, 13-6. Mahia seniors did their part well to hold Nuhaka to an 8-all draw. Results;— Senior.—Athletic 17 v, Tapuae 0; Nuhaka 8 v. Mahia 8. Junior.—Celtic 13 v. Tapuae 6; Athletic 17 v. Waiau nil; Nuhaka 14 v. Mahia nil.
