WINS TO MARIST, CELTIC AND H. 5.0.8. (A) IN P.B. SENIOR RUGBY
The second series of games m (lie second round of the Poverty Bay Rugby Union’s senior competition were played at the Gisborne Oval on Saturday. Showing further evidence of their improved form, Celtic obtained a good win over V.M.l’. by 23 points to eight in the main game and Marist reversed the first-round decision with a 16-6 win over Old Boys in a bright encounter. 11.5.0.8 (At maintained their unbeaten record with a win of 30 15 over the club’s B team.
The completion by the juniors of the first round left H. 5.0.8. and Celtic at the head of the ladder with 12 points each, followed by Marist with 10.
