SCHOOL CRICKET
The two concluding matches of the season in Gisborne High School junior cricket were played on -Saturday afternoon when a team representing the Intermediate School gained an outright win over a team of third-formers in an interesting match, and a team captained by J. Boggs defeated an eleven led by F. Salisbury on the first innings. Details: — Intermediate. First Innings, 30 (English 10, Lloyd 2-15, Swarbrick 2-5). Second Innings, 70-9 dec. (Alley 21, Webber 17; Gordon 4-13). Third-formers. —First Innings, 41 (Dolman 4-21. English 3-10). Second Innings. 39 (Puddick 14: Dolman 7-9. Boggs’ team, 132 (Whyte 36, Bog£s 36. English 10: Morete 4-35). Salisbury’s team, 110 (Preston 26, Salisbury 21. Morete 21, Twigley 14. Roderick 12; Jones 3-1, Boggs -1-17. Whyte 3-16).
