EEL NEARLY SFT. LONG

(P.A.) NELSON, March 7. An ccl 4ft. Tin. long and weighing 221 b. was caught by Mr. B. W. Newport, of Nelson, with his bare hands while trout fishing in the Riwaka River yesterday. When Mr. Newport saw the eel lying in shallow water he put down his rod and jumped into the water alongside the ccl. Using both arms he threw it to the edge where lie killed it with stones.
