BRIDEGROOM FROM TGLAGA BAY: GRAHAM—HURDSFIELD
Gladioli and hydrangeas decorated St. Mary’s Church. Waipukurnu. recently for (he marriage of Valdu Marie, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. ,1. Ifurdslield. Waipukurnu, lo Malcom, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Graham, Tolaga Bay. The Rev. C. E. Hyde conducted the service, and Mrs. W. G. Bryce was organist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of embroidered angelskin. classically designed with a full train. The bodice was gathered on to an inset, finishing in a peak at the front. A cream embroidered finger-tip tulle veil was held in place with cream lilies, and the bridal bouquet was of cream gladioli and lilies.
Blue cloque gowns were worn by the attendants, Misses Bobbie and Audrey Hurdsficld, sister of the bride. OiT-the-shouldcr necklines and full skirts were featured, and the ’maids wore picture hats of lace crinolinestraw in a mulberry shade, finished with sprays of blue hydrangeas and veiling. Their bouquets were of pink gladioli, carnations and roses. The best man was Mr. John Graham, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr. Sandy Graham was groomsman. Wearing a blue crepe dress with accessories, Mrs. Hurdsficld received the guests at a reception in the Masonic Hall. Navy accessories were worn by Mrs. Graham with a frock of pale blue crepe.
The bride’s travelling outfit comprised a moss-green sequin-trimmed frock, an off-white coat, and brown accessories.
Mr. and Mrs. Malcom Graham will live at Tolaga Bay.
