Five-Year Research In Rubber Planned With £3,000,000 Bill

(10 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 16. A five-year plan of research and development in rubber has been launched by Malayan producers at a cost of £3,000,000, the British Rubber Development Board announced today. As a side issue of the main plan the producers have initiated a special programme to .promote the greater use of natural rubber in America, the world’s largest rubber consumer. Malayan rubber is already the largest single dollar-earner for the whole sterling area.
