Fire Station Water Pressure Readings Show Big Increase

Water pressures which, for some days prior to the recent rain were reduced due to the hea%y draw-off of water in the reticulated area and were at their lowest, ebb of recent seasons, have gained considerably in the past few days.

Yesterday the lowest pressure reading at the Gisborne fire station was 301 b. at 10 a.m. At 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. the reading was 601 b. The day’s readings, as taken at the station, are:— 8 a.m., 451 b: 10 a.m., 301 b; noon, 401 b; 3 p.m., 551 b: 6 p.m., 601 b; 7 p.m., 601 b; 8 n.m., 701 b; 9 p.m., 751 b; 10 p.m., 801 b.

At 8 o’clock this morning the rending was 451 b., and at 10 a.m. 351 b.
