HIGHWAYS COUNCIL TO INSPECT ROUTES IN GISBORNE-E.C.

The chairman of the No. 4 District Highways Council, Mr. D. O. Haskell, Napier, and members of the council are to visit the Gisborne district in March next to inspect the Slate Highways in this area.

Advice to this effect was received from the council at the Waikohu County Council's meeting yesterday. The proposed itinerary provides for the inspection to start, at Gisborne on March 13 and to cover three days. The party will spend a night in Te Araroa.
