MOTU NEWS
(Herald Correspondcut.)
On Fridav afternoon the Motu Ladies' Anglican Guild met at the home of Mrs. F. Reid, Motu, there being 16 members present, including three new members. Filial arrangements were made for the summer flower show, which takes place early next month. During the afternon, Mrs. R. S. Fisher was presented with a cup for most points won at the flower show over a period of five years. Mesdames L. Hooper and A. Clarke presented another challenge cup to the guild for similar competition, this to lie won outright three times in succession, or three times at intervals.
Afternoon tea was served by the hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. T. Beets and their son Gordon, Te Teko, were recent visitors to Mr. and Mrs. T. Jackson. Motu.—Mr. and Mrs. E. Whitehead and their three daughters, I-langaroa. spent New Year with Mrs. Whitehead's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Jackson, Motu. —Mr. and Mrs. T. Whitehead and their son lan were recent visitors to Dannevirke.
