Scholarships For Study In United States

WELLINGTON, Jan. 17.

The names of two more New Zealanders awarded Fulbright travel grants to facilitate study in the United States were announced today by the United States educational Foundation in New Zealand. The foundation also announced the name of another American coming to New Zealand to conduct research under the Fulbright educational exchange scheme. All three are the final awards under the first year of the New Zealand-United States Fulbright programme. The New Zealanders, both graduate students, are Mr. Raymond C. Quick, Te Awamutu, who is engaged in electrical engineering studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Mr. S. L. Strack, Auckland, who is studying mathematics at Dickinson College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The new American grantee is Dr. Leonard D. Tuthill, Associate Professor of Entomology at the University of Hawaii. Honolulu, who is to arrive in New Zealand in July to conduct research in entomology.
