WESTERN UNION AREA FOR HEALTH CONTROL OF AIR TRAFFIC
(11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 16. Tire Brussels Treaty organisation announced in London today that the live countries of the Western Union — Belgium, France, Luxembourg. the Netherlands and Britain —would become one single area for the health control of air traffic on February 1.
The area would be described administratively within the Brussels Treaty powers as the “excepted area.” The announcement said that in future any aircraft which began its flight to any place within the “excepted area” would not be subject to health control on its arrival at any other place within that area- This would obviate a personal declaration of origin anl health by passengers.
