GIRL’S BODY FOUND NEAR MOUTH OF RIVER

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Jan. 14. The body of an 11-year-old Maori girl, Ada Pirimona, who was drowned in the Whakatane River on Wednesday when Mr. K. E. Austin, of Wellington, lost his life in a vain rescue attempt, was recovered on mud flats near the Whakatane Heads last night. The tide was well out and two young Maori boys noticed the body floating in shallow water not far from the river mouth.
