(P.A) AUCKLAND, Dec. 1. Beef was penned in average numbers at the Westfield stock sale yesterday and met with a ready demand. Fewer sheep were penned. Competition was keen with values improving on last week's sale. Lambs which were in short supply sold readily. The yarding of calves was average and values for all classes were lower. Few stores were penned in an average yarding of pigs. !
