A request fiv the New Zealand Swimming Association that its Empire Games coach be granted permission to wear an official Games badge and blazer was refused by the executive of the Olympic Empire Games Association last night. “It is entirely wrong that coaches, masseurs chaperones and every Tom, Dick and ttarrv should have the honour of wearing New Zealand badges and blazers." said Mr. S. S. Dean (Rugby) Ho could see this sort of thing creep mg into all sports. U was belittling the value o[ ib e blazer, added Mr. Dean.
