MOTOR-CYCLIST HURT FATALLY IN SMASH DURING RAIN STORM

(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 3. Thrown to the ground when his motor-cycle struck the back of a motorcar at New Plymouth yesterday afternoon a youth died upon his admission to hospital with a fractured skull. He was. Maurice Vickers, aged 19, locomotive fireman in the employ of the Railway Department. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Vickers, Pungarehu. Rain was falling at the time of the accident which occurred as Mr. Ernest Allan Brooking was backing his car on tc the roadway from his residential entrance.
