REVOLT BID IN ALBANIA "THROTTLED"

“throttled" an attempted revolt to coincide wwith tli e joint UrcekYugoslav plan of action against Albania.
A report by the secretary of the Albanian Workers’ Party to its third plenary congress also accused Italy of playing a part in tho mobilisation of forces around Albania.
Italy had supplied both Greece and Ynugoslavia wwith cadres of spies and agents trained in Italy who were to be smuggled into Albania, the radio report" said. In Yugoslavia, meanwhile, Albanian exiles had formed an anti-Albanian committee complete with a military staff.
Various Albanian organisations abroad were represented at a secret meeting in Trieste recently with British and American officers. Delegates of Marshal Tito were present.
The report charged Greece and Yugoslavia with having attempted, by joint provocations, to create disturbed conditions in Albania, encouraged reactionary elements inside the country and set them against the regime with a view to possible military intervention and partition of the country.
