LAMB COMPETITION IS NEXT FIXTURE FOR A. & P. EFFORT

When the Show is over the executive will be turning its attention to the next fixture on the calendar of the P.B. Agricultural and Pastoral Association, the district fat lamb competition which it organises under the auspices of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board. Although weight of meat has been and still is the principal concern of the United Kingdom, meat producers also are looking to the time when the market will require the first essential to be quality.

Interest in this competition in the Gisborne, 'Wairoa and East Coast districts has been mounting in recent years. The Gisborne competition this vear will take Diace on November 16. Entries received in this competition since 1943 are:—l943. 14: 1944, 25; 1945. 26: 1946. 30: 1947. 84; 1948, 84.
