Pakistan Accepts Plan For Arbitration On Kashmir Dispute

(11 a.m.) KARACHI, Sept. 6. Pakistan has accepted the latest proposal for arbitration on a truce agreement on Kashmir, it was stated officially tonight. The proposal was made by the United Nations Commission on India and Pakistan. The proposed arbitration would be by the United States mediator, Admiral Chester Nimitz, as supported bv President Truman and the British Prime Minister, Mr. C. R. Attlee. The Pakistan Minister for Kashmir Affairs. Mr. M. A. Gurmani, said the move by President Truman and Mr. Attlee was consistent with their obligations as founder members of the United Nations.
