Harbour Employees Seek Removal Of Ban On Canadian Shin

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 6. Auckland Harbour Board employees have called lor an urgent meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Transport Workers' Federation to Hit the ban on the Canadian freighter, Ottawa Valley. It is expected that if this proposal is made effective the ship—alter 60 days in the stream —may move to a berth at the end of this week. The Auckland branch has asked the Transport Workers’ Federation to rescind the resolution declaring the Ottawa Valley black. The letter, which should reach Wellington today, gives ns the main reason for the proposal the fact that the Canadian Seamen's Union has been expelled from thej International Transport Workers’ Fed-j eration —which officially recognises the ' Seamen’s International Union of which! the Ottawa Valley crew are members.
