DEATH SENTENCES ON LEADERS OF POLISH GROUP

(11 a.m.) WARSAW. Sept. 2. A priest and another man have been sentenced to death by a military court, and six others received prison terms for being members of the illegal organisation “Win" (freedom and independence). says the official Polish agency. The prosecution said that the priest. Father Janusz. had required members to swear allegiance to General Vladislav Anders in London. General Anders was commander of the Second Polish Corps in England during the war. He was deprived of his Polish nationality by the Polish Cabinet in 1946 and is now head of the Polish side of the central co-ordin-ation committee for Polish welfare.
