“U.S. Not Heading For Collectivism”--Truman
(10 a.m.) WASHINGTON. Aug. 12. President Truman, asked to comment on the statement by the former President, Mr. Herbert Hoover, that the United States was “on the last mile on the back road to collectivism," said he did not believe the United States was heading for collectivism.
