WORLD’S BEST STAMP COLLECTION

LONDON. June 13

The world’s finest stamp collection, valued before the war at £5,000,000 when it belonged to the German Post Ministry, has been brought to Frankfurt from a mine in which it had been stored since it was found in 1945 by American troops, says Reuter’s Frankfurt correspondent. The removal was made in 232 boxes of wood and iron and 41 postbags. The collection is now held by the postal telecommunications administration in Frankfurt.
