FIELD OF 29 IN RUN BY HARRIERS

The Gisborne Y.M.C.A, Harrier Club held four pack runs on Saturday with 29 starters in distance from two and a hald to seven miles. The main course led from the Y.M.C.A. to the top of Kaiti Hill, thence along the Defence road and across the hills to Sponge Bay. and returning to the Y.M.C.A. through the rifle range and along Wainui road. The intermediate, junior and colt packs branched off at different points along the course, thus running shorter distances than the fast pack. Runners showing good form were:— G. Smythe, B. Gaholinsky, G. Gumming, A Sinion, G. McDonald, R. Hawkins, D. Smith, D. Hughes, N. Crosby and J. McKay. The colts had a short run in which resulted: A. McGuinness, 1: L. Flockhart. 2: J. Boggs. 3: R. Williams. 4.
