WAIKUNE PRISONER MAKES SECOND ESCAPE

(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, May 23. Escaping from the Waikune prison camp at 6.30 p.m. on Saturday, Hira Repana, alias Herbert James Marshall, 31, a Maori, had not been recaptured at a late hour last night. He escaped from the Rangipo prison camp in 1947. He is described as sft. 53in. in height, of medium build and has a scar on his forehead over the left eye. He was serving a sentence of three years’ imprisonment for breaking and entering and car conversion and the previous prison escape.,
