Russian Arms, Planes For North Korea

(11 a.m.) SEOUL, May 19. Korean. Republican officials said today that Russia had agreed to arm nine divisions in North Korea and supply the Red-controlled regime there with 220 aircraft and 20 patrol boats. The Associated Press correspondent said the assertion was made in a joint statement by the Foreign Minister, Mr. Ben Limb, and the Minister of Defence, Mr. Sihn Sung Mo. It also said: “The United States should at least provide corresponding measures for the Republic of Korea.”
