A new British-built fermenting tun, the first to he made completely of stainless steel, being transported by road from Leven, Scotland, through Glasgow to be shipped to Dublin. Eire. It holds 300,000 halfpints of stout. Five of these monster vessels are being constructed in Scotland for Guinness’s Dublin works. Weighing nearly 10 tons each, and measuring some 20ft. long by nearly 15ft. diameter, they dwarf normal road traffic.
