GORDON GETS K.O. OVER CLEM SANDS

fP.A.) AUCKLAND, May 10.

The New Zealand professional welterweight boxing champion, Clarrie Gordon, knocked out the Australian aborigine, Clem Sands, in the tenth round of a bout last evening. Gordon weighed lOst. sJlb. and Sands lOst. 51b.

Sands sat on the floor as the referee tolled off the count, but bounded to his feet too late.

Gordon had the measure of the Australian from the start. He concentrated on body punching and as a result weakened Sands considerably before knocking him down.
