INCREASED RATES AT MORRINSVILLE
An average entry of fat sheep came forward at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday and prices were in advance of those gained at the central yards. Store lambs were in good demand at increased rates. Fat cows sold at slightly higher rates and the market was firm for a full yarding of boner and store cows. Prices: —
Sheep.—Fat wethers, 43s to 45s 9d; fat ewes, 325; heavy fat lambs, 37s to 39s 3d; medium, 33s to 35s Gd; light, 28s to 31s; good w.f. store lambs, 23s to 30s 2d; medium, 24s to 26s 6d; medium b.f. store lambs, 19s to 20s lOd; small, 16s to 18s.
Cattle. —Heavy fat Shorthorn cows, £ll to £l3 10s; heavy fat young Jersey cows, £9 to £lO 18s; heavy boner cows, £7 10s to £9 10s; medium, £6 to £7 ss; store Jersey cows. £4 to £5 10s; bulls, £9 7s 6d to £ll 12s 6d.
