PARK AND TE PUIA GOLF MATCH KEEN

The golf match between Te Puia and Gisborne Park resulted in a win to the Park team by a small margin. The top men, Sparkes and Morgan, Te Puia, won from Muir and Roderick in the morning, and finished all square in the afternoon.

Mr. Sparks commented favourably on the playing conditions at the Park, and expressed appreciation of the hospitality of the ladies responsible for the catering. A bogey match was played and the best card was returned by T. W. Bayliss, 1 down, net 69. On Saturday the best-ball four ball bogey produced some good scores. The leaders were Conole and Hobin, 6 up; D. R. Watt and Brooking, 5 up; Bury and Shaw, 5 up; Dow and Adeane, 4 up; L. Maclnnes and J. Watt, 3 .up; W. Watt and A. Tarr, 2 up; G. Tangney and Les Martin, all square.
