SHEEP BREEDERS’ NEW PRESIDENT

Thanking the members for the confidence they had displayed in him, Mr. C. E. Matthews, the new president of the Gisborne Stud Sheep Breeders’ Association, at the annual meeting yesterday said he considered his task would be a relatively easy one because of the “spade work” done so efficiently by the immediate past president, Mr. Lawson Field. “It is due to his efforts that you see the association in the sound position it is in today,” he concluded. A retiring member of the council* Mr. F. E. Humphreys, was re-elected and Mr. C. Mossman elected to fill a vacancy. Mr. Matthews was re-elected as treasurer.
