MRS. E. CARRINGTON

Deep sympathy has been extended to Mr. E. Carrington in respect of the death of Mrs. Carrington, which occurred at the Cook Hospital on Wednesday. • Te deceased had been ill for the past six months, and had been sinking gradually up to the time of her death. Mrs. Carrington, who was Miss Alice Helena Phelan, was born in Auckland in 1919, and came to Gisborne about 18 months ago. She was married to Mr. Carrington in June, 1948. Her kindly disposition made her a popular figure prior to the onset of her fatal illness.

She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. A. James, Rutcne road, Gisborne, two brothers, Messrs Rex and Allen Phelan, and one sister, Mrs. McCrane. Greymouth.
