SEVERE MEASURES IN CIVIL SERVICE STRIKE IN GREECE

(10 a.m.) ATHENS, April 7. Despite Government warnings that strikers will be court-martialled the strike of civil servants continued today.

Schools were closed and the teachers’ union issued a proclamation aganist Government “terorrism.” Only a few officials obeyed the Government order to resume work. The Prime Minister, M. Sophoulis, has ordered that lists of the senior civil servants on strike be submitted to him today. Very severe measures are threatened against them.
