MINISTER REFUSES PERMIT FOR MAY DAY POLITICAL PARADE

'(11 a.m.) LONDON, April 6. The Home Secretary, Mr. Chuter Ede, today refused a request by the London Trades Council for a lifting of the ban on processions in the London metropolitan area so that a march could be organised on May Day. Mr. Chuter Ede said he considered that such a procession would be of a political nature and would, therefore, come -within the scope of the ban already imposed on political processions.
