Majestic.—Two action pictures will be screened today. “Dynamite” is an exciting drama about the men who risk their lives handling it. The stars are William Gargan aad Virginia Welles. The associate Xeature, “Six Gun Law,” stars Charles Starrett and Smiley Burnett. Episode one of the new serial, "Jesse James Hides Again,” opens each session, Plans are now available for the delightful British picture "Way to the Stars," which commences on Saturday at a o'clock. King's.—Keyed to the tempo, passions and people that have made New York one of the most exciting cities in the world, and unfolding the taut and vivid life-drama of an escaped gangster's last desperate battle to beat the law, "Cry of the City,” a Twentieth Cen-tury-fox film, is being screened at the King's Victor Mature and Kiehard Conte are costarred in the roles of two sharply contrasting personalities—homicide oificer Vittorio Candella and ruthless Martin Home—whose furious and subpenseful oattle-to-death was to engulf tlie lives o£ those they both loved and nated.
Regent.—“ Sealed Verdict” (Ray Milland) will conclude at the Regent today. One o£ the most distinguished and beautiful motion pictures ever filmed, "I’ve Always Loved You,” the technicolour musical drama which is coming to tilt Regent tomorrow, was produced and directed by Frank Borzage. "I've Always Loved You” is an intensely dramatic story into which is woven some of the finest music ever written by Rachmaninolt, Chopin, Beethoven, and Mendelssohn. Philip Dorn and a sensational newcomer, Catherine McLeod, head a superlative cast.
Isador Goodman.—After an absence from New Zealand of almost three years, Isador Goodman, the celebrated South African pianist, will give one concert in Gisborne, on Easter Saturday. This is Mr. Goodman's third visit to New Zealand and his first visit to Gisborne. As an added interest to any lovers of the highest class of pinnism is the fact that Mr Goodman will be the first celebrity pianist to play on the new Bechstein concert grand piano which has recently been made available to Gisborne by Mr. 11. p. Wise.
