STANLEY REPORTED TO BE IN ISRAEL

(10 a.m.) TEL AVIV, April 5. The evening newspapers in Tel Aviv reported that Sidney Stanley, the key witness in the Lynskey inquiry, arrived by private plane at Lydda airport this morning. They stood by the reports, despite official denials. The newspaper Yom declared that Stanley had been taken to the immigrants’ transit camp at Athlit. Stanley’s whereabouts have been unknown since he failed to report to the police in Britain three days ago.
