£359 DEFICIT SHOWN BY H.B. RUGBY UNION
hieavy touring expenses were responsible for a loss of £359 in the past year, said the chairman of the management committee, Mr. N. A. McKenzie, at the annual meeting of the Hawke's Bav Rugby Union in Napier. The president. Mr. V. Fraser, of Wairoa. presided. The statement of income and expenditure adopted by the meeting showed that of a total expenditure of £1333, touring expenses amounted to £BB9, with the southern tour costing £609. With the heavy tour expenses, the management committee expected that the deficit for the year might run into four figures, said Mr. McKenzie. They were well pleased with the actual result.
