WOMAN CYCLIST RECOVERING AFTER TRAIN COLLISION

(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, April 6. A married woman was admitted to the Southland Hospital after she had been struck by a goods train on the Tokanui line at the Bluff road crossing at 11.50 a.m. yesterday. She is: Mrs. Iris Joan Smith, of William street. Mrs. Smith was knocked from her bicycle and suffered lacerations of the scalp and a fracture of her right elbow. Her condition is reported as satisfactory.
