PENALTIES ON JOCKEYS

WELLINGTON, April 5.

The Wellington district committee yesterday reviewed the penalties imposed on M. A Martinovich and B. J. Langford, jockeys, by the judicial committee of the Wellington Racing Club for careless riding in the Pacific Handicap and Ngaio Hurdles respectively on the second day of the autumn meeting on March 12. It was decided that the fines of £lO previously imposed on Martinovich and Langford should be remitted and that the penalty in each case be suspension for one monlh as from April 4.
