ALL BLACKS WILL LEAVE FOR S. AFRICA ON APRIL 14
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. Mar. 28. The liner Tamaroa, which is taking the New Zealand Rugby team to South Africa, is scheduled to leave Auckland on the afternoon of April 14, according to advice received by the New Zealand Rugby Union from the Shaw, Savill Line.
This date will ensure that the players will have adequate time in South Africa to train and become acclimatised prior to the first match. It relieves the concern felt where there was a risk of the sailing date being postponed until after Easter.
It is expected that the New Zealand Rugby Union at tonight's meeting will advise all unions that the members of the team will be required to assemble in Wellington on April 7.
