COLD SNAP FELT IN WELLINGTON AREA

(S.R.) WELLINGTON, Mar. 28. A large area extending from the eastern districts of the South Island to most of Wellington province yesterday felt cold south west winds. Snow was reported on the Taraurua ranges and in the National Park district. There were scattered hail showers in the Wellington province. Temperatures in Wellington city ranged between 41 deg. and 50 deg., and at Masterton between 43dcg and 48dcg., these being considered representative of the experiences of most provincial districts.
