(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Mar. 10. It was disclosed yesterday that forged totalisator tickets were presented not only at the Pukekohe races on Saturday, but also at the Epsom trotting meeting on the previous Saturday. After the correct code word had been stamped on 56 £1 win tickets on Sure Money, these tickets were cashat different pay-out windows for £22Hl2s. Sure Money won the sixth race, the St. Andrews Handicap, at Epsom. “The forgeries were cleverly carried out,” said the totalisator company manager yesterday, “but the forgers included an identification mark which had previously been made to prevent forgery and was not stamped on the genuine tickets on the last day at Ep» som.”
Checking of the tickets is still pro* ceeding.
