OLYMPIC GAMES SURPLUS OF £29,850
(11 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 15. The Olympic Games in 1948 made an estimated surplus of £29,850, subject to liquidation expenses, according to a preliminary statement of accounts. Receipts were £599,850 and expenses £570,000. The total attendance at all venues was 1,247,283. Any surplus after the liquidation expenses will be handed over the the British Olympic Association, or a body’ affiliated with it, for disposal to various sporting organisations.
