PACKERS’ STRIKE WILL HOLD UP WOOL

(11 a.m.) SYDNEY. Feb. 16. Three thousand storeman packers refused today to deliver any wool, skins or hides from the stores in Sydney. They will receive wool, skins and hides but will not help in their dispatch from stores. This decision was reached at a stopwork meeting when the men decided on direct action after their claim for a 30/- weekly wage increase with proportional amounts for casual workers was refused. Sydney is now at the peak of the season for wool shipments and it _ is expected that a number of ships loading wool will be affected immediately.
