MEMBERS OF CAMERA CLUB HOLD DEBATE ON EQUIPMENT

At Thursday night’s meeting of the Gisborne Camera Club a debate entitled “35mm. v. The Rest” took place in which users of cameras taking 35mm. film extolled the virtues of their equipment, as against any of the larger cameras.

Speakers for both sides had obviously taken considerable trouble to assemble information and facts in support of their case, as a result of which the audience enjoyed a very interesting evening, not without several humorous interludes. The holiday shot competition results were announced, the judge commenting on the lower general standard of work on this occasion.

Results were:— Advanced Class.—W. Griffin and R. G. Witters, equal 1; E. C. Glanville, hon. mention. Junior Class. —R. H. Pearson, 1; R. H, Barnett, 2; T. E. Gresham, hon. mention. Members were reminded that entries for an open competion would be received at the next meeting on February 24.
