HIGHLAND FLING TROTS AT CANTERBURY PARK

The champion light-harness pacer Highland Fling figures on the card at the Canterbury Park trots tomorrow. The champion is engaged in the mile and a quarter Farewell Handicap, in which he is assessed on the 00yds. behind mark. The last event contested was at Dunedin. when, driven by his owner’s son. he was left to taite jo part in the race, but maybe his trainer-driver, L. F. Berkctt, will hold the ribbons on Saturday. The chief event of the day is the £1750 President’s Handicap, lun over a mile and five furlongs, which has drawn a very large field and seeking out the right ones is going to be no easy task. All the races have drawn big fields, and two or three may have to be divided into divisions. Most interest may be taken in the following:—
