FIRE IN MOTOR TRUCK
When the engine of a stationary motor truck caught fire shortly before 10 a.m. today, the Gisborne Fire Brigade was called upon to extinguish the blaze. The truck was being used by Mr. R. Jeffeote, who was cutting trees at Sandown, upper Childers road. Although the fire had a good hold in the engine, the brigade had little difficulty in extinguishing the blaze with chemical extinguishers. Hie engine of the truck was extensively damaged.
