Rumanian Ex-Ministers Sent To Gaol
BUCHAREST, Jan. 20
Fourteen former Ministers who served under General Antonescu, the Rumanian Prime Minister, during the war when Rumania was allied with the Nazis, were sentenced to terms from two years’ imprisonment to 10 years’ rigorous detention. All forfeited their property. Those sentenced included two former Finance Ministers, Georges Cretianu, who received 10 years and Alexander Neagu, who received eight years. Professor lon Detrovici, a former Minister of Education, was gaoled for 10 years and General Josif Jacobovici for 10 years.
