GISBORNE TENNIS TEAM TAKES DECISION IN MATCH AT TE KARAKA

(Herald Correspondent.) Though the home club players had to cede the decision by a convincing margin of rubbers, they contested the issue closely in many sets during the tennis match played on the Te Karaka courts during the week-end with a team representing the Gisborne Club. Te Karaka divided the honours evenly in the men’s singles, but Gisborne held the advantage in the other sections and won by the total of 16 rubbers to eight.
