WANGANELLA REACHES SYDNEY
SYDNEY, Dec. 13
The Wanganella, back on the New Zealand-Australia run after nearly two years’ absence, berthed at Sydney this morning. “The trip was very successful,” said Captain H. F. Norrie. “We had good weather all the way, though there was a stiff northerly. A vase of flowers on my cabin table stood there all the trip without moving.” He added that the ship and crew were shaking down well and that the passengers had expressed their satisfaction. The quality of the repairs carried out by New Zealand workmen was very high. Today there were many visitors to the ship admiring the appointments of the public rooms. The Wanganella was accorded, a port welcome by the sirens of ferries and neighbouring vessels as she berthed.
